A Reely Good Time-Free Summer Outdoor Movies

So I know I'm a little late on this because the free outdoor movie season is in full bloom but tonight alone there are so many good movies that I want to see so I thought I'd share with you all the great opportunities to enjoy a movie in this awesome summer weather.

Where: McCarren Park Ballfields, Greenpoint (this is the series formerly known as McCarren Park Pool), on the corner of Bedford and North 12th.

Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged.

Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan
Where: Sixth Avenue from 40th to 42nd Streets
When: Lawn opens at 5 p.m. for blankets and picnicking, movies start at dusk.

Riverflicks at Pier 54 in Lower Manhattan
Where: Pier 54, Hudson River at 14th Street.
When: Movies begin at 8:30 p.m.

Where: Pier 1 at West 70th Street and the Hudson River.
When: Movies begin at dusk (around 8:30 p.m.).

River to River Festival in Manhattan
Where: 55 Water Street, “The Elevated Acre.”
When: Movies begin at 8 p.m.
Admission: Free.

Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens
Where: Broadway at Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City.
When: Movies begin at 7 p.m., weather permitting.
Admission: Free.
Held in conjunction with the Museum of the Moving Image. All films are foreign.

Movies Under the Stars in Hoboken, N.J.
Where: Pier a Park, Hoboken.
When: Movies begin at dusk (8:30-9 p.m.).
Admission: Free.

Celebrate Brooklyn in Prospect Park
Where: Prospect Park Bandshell, Entrance at Ninth Street and Prospect Park West
When: Varies. Check Web site.
Admissions: $3.
Live music accompanies each movie.

Brooklyn Film Works at the Old Stone House in Park Slope
Where: J. J. Byrne Park at the Old Stone House, Fifth Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets, Brooklyn.

When: Gates open at 6 p.m. Movies start at 8 p.m.

Where: Bartow Pell Mansion, Pelham Bay Park, 895 Shore Road, the Bronx.
