It's a great way to get out and enjoy this cold weather and NYC is one of the best places to go ice skating. Hi Emco,
Maybe you know about this already but Meetup.com has over 1000 different interest groups that offer low cost get togethers in NYC and else where. One that I organise events for is called the "New York Metro Ice Skating" group and we get a discount at the City Ice Pavilion on their Saturday night session.
